Laser packaging is a sub-sector of the packaging industry that has experienced rapid development. Compared to other products in the packaging industry, laser packaging materials not only have a novel and bright appearance but also have high-tech anti-counterfeiting functions, making them considered cutting-edge products in the global packaging and printing industry. Laser materials have already been widely applied, rapidly promoted in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, daily necessities, tobacco and alcohol, clothing, gift packaging, and decorative materials.

Classified by product composition, laser films can be broadly divided into three types: BOPP laser films, PET laser films, and PVC laser films.

In terms of technological level, anti-counterfeiting laser films used in trademark printing are high-end products in the industry. Their production involves multiple technical stages, including laser anti-counterfeiting plate making, film pressing, coating, and transfer, resulting in products with high added value. They are also widely used in food and daily necessities packaging, such as mooncake boxes and toothpaste boxes, and the application of laser technology in these areas will only increase.

In terms of Manufacturer, there are currently more than 100 manufacturers in China that can produce laser films. However, except for a few large enterprises, most exhibit disadvantages such as small production scale, single technology, and poor risk resistance. Taiwanese manufacturers, relying on Taiwan's long-term mastery of this technology and the development of supporting industries, have become pioneers in this industry, monopolizing the high-end laser film market in China in its early stages. Some large enterprises, based on the introduction and learning of foreign technologies, have achieved rapid development and improvement through technical transformation and innovation according to the differentiated needs of domestic downstream enterprises.

Laser films have a wide range of applications in optics, primarily due to their multilayer film structure which can reflect, transmit, or absorb specific wavelengths of light.

Laser films are not recommended for prolonged sun exposure. Their lightfastness is limited, and direct sunlight may cause color distortion and performance degradation. Avoid sun exposure during use and store in a cool, dry place.

Architecture: Laser films are widely used in the architectural field for window film applications. These films effectively prevent ultraviolet radiation, reduce heat entry, thereby reducing air conditioning use, while enhancing privacy.
